Radical Revolution
By: Tommy Ried & Al Warner
One day, the most radical revolutionary that ever lived stood in front of His disciples on a mountain and introduced His radical revolutionary ideas with these words: “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” Blessed and poor appear to be oxymorons. But not to this revolutionary. Those words introduced the idea of a new culture of “servant leaders.” He told us that if we want to change the world we must rule from a servant’s throne. He said that in this servant leader culture, everyone loves, respects, and accepts every other person – even their adversaries and enemies. Today, our world has been almost destroyed by an adversarial cultural norm.
Authors Tommy Reid and Al Warner believe the world is ready to turn things around and to pray the prayer this revolutionary asked us to pray, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” IF we pray this prayer, we could become the answer to our own prayer in the establishment of this “heavenly culture” that Jesus taught.
